What does it mean to be in Honour House? To answer that question, we need to firstly ask ourselves, what does the word 'Honour' mean? To me, it means:
1. Showing personal integrity and being true to yourself. 2. Always taking pride in what you do. 3. Never giving up in the face of adversity. 4. Leading through example (through both your words and actions). Two people that who have epitomised these qualities and, therefore, what it means to be in Honour House are the two people after whom our forms are named - Nelson Mandela and Marie Curie. Click on the names/pictures on the right to find out more about these two amazing individuals, their fascinating lives, and why we should be so proud to be associated with them. So as members of Honour House, and therefore, it's ambassadors, I have the following high expectations. That as a House, we will always strive to: 1. Play fair: By upholding the school rules and making sure we meet the high expectations we should all have of one another as both pupils and members of staff 2. Play tough: By always taking part and giving 100% effort; making sure we show each other support and encouragment; and in doing so, making sure that as a House we always pull in the same direction! |
